About Project:

HELIUM is a 24-month Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) project dedicated to modernising Higher Education Institutions in Egypt and Ukraine through comprehensive structural reform. The project addresses governance challenges, strengthens internationalization mechanisms, advances digital transformation, enhances university–industry collaboration, and promotes inclusive access to quality higher education.

Higher education institutions today operate in a rapidly changing global environment. Digital transformation, labor market demands, sustainability priorities, and inclusive education policies require universities to adapt, innovate, and cooperate across borders. HELIUM responds to these challenges through a structured, cross-regional reform model connecting European Union institutions with partner universities in Egypt and Ukraine.

Inspired by helium a light and elevating element  the project supports institutions in rising toward stronger governance systems, transparent decision-making, global academic cooperation, and future-oriented education models.

Project's Objectives

Modernizing governance, digital transformation, international mobility, industry linkages, and fostering inclusive higher education access.

Partnership

Eight international partners from Belgium, Greece, Cyprus, Egypt, and Ukraine collaborate to drive structural reform, digital innovation, and academic excellence.

Structural reforms, a digital ecosystem, mobility frameworks, updated curricula, and enhanced university-industry collaboration systems.
